Thankful Thursday 5

Thursdays come so fast!  Here are three more things we're thankful for...

1. US Bound
We're thankful we finally got our flights booked for next month.  We'll be in Phoenix for five days and then Kentucky for two weeks.  Hallelujah!!! This is kind of a load off considering we've been trying to get this done for months now.  We're SO excited to see our family and friends... and to be able to read and understand everything.  I need a break from all the French.

2. Lazy Rivers
One thing I love about Phoenix, besides their endless supply of frozen yogurt shops, are the resorts.  Some of which have lazy rivers.  If you don't know what a lazy river is, then I feel sorry for you.  An inter tube, a pool shaped like a river, jet propelled water (so no physical work is necessary), and an amazing frozen drink menu (sometimes you can get a waitress to be ready when you make a lap).  Our dream home includes one.  A good little weekend 'getaway' for us when we lived in Phoenix was just booking a room at one of these, driving ten minutes from home, and spending all day at the pool.  We already have a LRD (lazy river day) planned when we return.  It's going to be amazing.  We will be here...
and we will be doing this...

and this...
and maybe even a little cannonball competition for free drinks...

But there will not be any of this... not again.  Nor will I participate in any self-promoted swim races with strangers.

3.  This
I got this in the mail from one of my former kindergarten students.  It's it amazing!?  There may or may not have been a tear shed when I read it.  It made me miss my kids even more.  :(  Hoping I can see some of them during our visit.

Word search included.   This took me a while.
Au revoir!
