Montreux Jazz Festival

This past weekend we went to Montreux for the annual Jazz festival.  This is a crazy three week long event where artists and fans come from all over the world to perform and enjoy other shows.  Some of the performers I recognized on the lineup were B.B. King, Carlos Santana, Seal, Ziggy Martin, Natalie Cole, Sting, Paul Simon, Liza Minelli ... and of course what Jazz festival would be complete without Coolio, Naughty by Nature, and Ricky Martin.  The University of Kentucky jazz ensemble was apparently there last weekend.  We're still kicking ourselves for not realizing it.  :(  We would have been the most obnoxious two there... UK gear and all.
UNIVERSITY OF KENTUCKY JAZZ ENSEMBLE (US)
Sorry friends... we missed you.  Go cats!
Montreux is the city on the opposite side of the lake from Geneva.  It's amazing and the views are stunning.  Geneva is pretty, but Montreux has a little bit of a better view.  Shania Twain thinks so.  She lives there.  Phil Collins lives in between Geneva and Montreux.  He probably has a nice view as well.

We invited our friends Lauren, Gabe, and Lindsi to join in... along with six bottles of wine, snacks, blankets, and of course the Wildcat mobile.  It was about an hour ride.  Without air conditioning.  Yes, we forgot it needs coolant.  In the US we would simply skirt on over to a Valvoline and pay maybe $50.  Any service performed in Geneva requires that you mortgage your house or trade for a kidney.  We might forego the ac.

We had a great time and got some really cool pictures, heard some free bands, ate amazing food, and people watched.  It progressively got more wild.  We left around 11pm and apparently it went until 5am... crazy Jazz fans.  We can't hang.
